The Ridgemount BOMAN series offers Breakout Manifolds of various sizes accommodating different cable constructions and different fan-out tubes. They are ideal for use with both indoor and field deployable cables.
The range has been designed to ensure that a consistent fan-out product is manufactured with a simple assembly tooling, avoiding fibre failures due to twist and tension. The manifold body incorporates a connector crimp and compression gland to ensure secure cable retention.

Select the Manifold Head to go with the Manifold Set required for your cable. You have the choice of tube diameter, colour and length to suit your application.
The BOMAN Size 10 & 12 have been designed for use with our smallest breakout tube, 1.7mm OD. This tube incorporates our easy glide inner tube technology allowing 250u fibres to be fed up to 3m in length.

The colour of the breakout tubes in the standard range is designed to signify the fibre type being used.
All heads are manufactured to exacting standards to ensure that the fibre feed is as simple as possible. The tubes offer excellent protection to individual fibres with the compression and tension characteristics of standard fibre optic cables.
The Ridgemount BreakOut Manifold can be protected during installation using the BOMAN Pull-Sock.
The Pull-Sock tube is fed over the connector assembly, clamped onto the manifold using cable ties. Any
pull force is transferred from the pull sock to the back of the manifold and directly onto the cable via a
combination of the crimp and the compression gland.After installation the ties are simply cut allowing the
sock to be retained for future use.

Each BOMAN series has assembly tooling that enables quick and easy production assembly of the manifold sets and heads. The design of the tooling ensures consistency between operators and prevents any twisting of the fibres as the manifolds are closed up. This ensures that the manifold contributes zero Insertion loss to the assembly.
The crimp, secure on the cable, is held firm allowing the individual fibres to be fed into the breakout tubes of the manifold head. The two parts are then brought together and fixed under controlled conditions. The tool acts as an extra pair of hands for the operator to ensure a repeatable and secure assembly.
